The death has occurred of Eileen Lawlor (née Kavanagh) of Gurtahile, Bilboa, Carlow and formerly Rathanna, Borris, Co Carlow passed away peacefully, in her 98th year, surrounded by her loving family. on July 18th 2026 at her home. Pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Annie, husband Patrick (Paddy) and infant son. Much loved mother of James and Lena (Paulstown), adored grandmother of Andrew, Eamonn, Patrick, Niamh, Dermot, Ciarán and great-grandmother of Edward. Cherished sister of the late Michael, Richard, Teresa and Rita.

Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchild, son-in-law Edward, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends, especially close family friend T.J.

Eileen will repose at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow (R93 C863) from 3pm on Tuesday, July 21st concluding with prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Wednesday at 11.30am to The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mayo, Co Laois, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
