The death has occurred of Carmel Behan (nee Wheeler) Tierernane, Ballickmoyler, Co Laois and formerly of Naas and Curragh View, Co Kildare, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on June 22nd 2026, under the loving care of the nurses and staff at The Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow. Beloved wife of the late Jackie, much loved mother of John, Joe, Anne, Maurice, Michael, Brede, Helen and the late Mary and treasured sister of Marie, Dolores, Margaret and the late Joe. She will be sadly missed by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, son-in-law Mario, daughters-in-law Paula, Siobhán, Theresa, and Sheila, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, R93 C863 from 3pm on Thursday June 25th, concluding with prayers at 7pm that evening. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Abban’s Church, Killeen followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Reposing at his residence, The High Trees, Arles (R93 P602) from 4pm on Saturday afternoon (June 6th) with Rosary on Sunday evening at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning (June 8th) to arrive at The Church of the Sacred Heart, Arles for Requiem Mass at 12 noon . Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents William and Ellen, her husband Edward (Ned), her sisters Statia, Kathleen, Mary, Brigid and brother Johnny. Deeply regretted by her loving children John, Billy, Kathleen and Eamon, John’s wife Martina, Billy’s partner Eve and Kathleen’s husband Des. Her brother Jimmy and his wife Betty, her brother Patsy and her sister in law Marie. Her adoring Grandchildren Cathal, Áine, Ella, Ciarán, Caoimhe, Ailbhe, Aoife, Hannah and Erin.Her extended family, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Hannah will repose at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Saturday May 30th, from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 7.45pm that evening. Removal from there on Sunday at 1pm to The Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
